About Me

My name is Rebecca. I am a happily married mother of 5 children and a native American speaker, born and raised in the United States. I am also a former violinist, pianist, and schoolteacher, and am currently having LOTS OF FUN teaching English as a Second Language online. I absolutely love my students and hearing about their culture and traditions! For one of my greatest joys in life is learning about people from all over the world! Over the years, I have traveled to 7 countries and have spent countless hours helping foreigners with their language & cultural needs, including Russians and Ukrainians. I actually have a special passion for helping Russian speakers because of my deep connection with them. As a child, I had the privilege of studying with an amazing Russian piano teacher from the Leningrad Conservatory (whom I loved dearly). As a young adult, I volunteered with the Russian Resettlement Program in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and absolutely loved the Russian & Ukrainian families I “adopted”. Now I have a daughter living & working in the Russian Far East, my two older sons are majoring in Russian in college, and one of my younger sons is studying Russian in high school. And although I don’t speak Russian myself, my family heritage is ½ Russian! So, that’s why I’m very excited to meet new students at Allright.io!
