I conduct lesson-related expansion to see to it that my students can learn more apart from what is written on the lesson materials. That way they can exercise free talk as well. I use example conversations and dialogues. This technique can somehow ensure that the student won't end up just saying and repeating the words over and over again and then forgets it in a split second because they didn't understand how it works and how to use it in conversations.
